Thanks for the reply chaps, its quite a complicated network across my house with the recent addition of a Linksys WAG160N router supplying the wireless to the house although I also had an older Netgear "G" AP from when I used to need two acess points to cover the house.
I tried connecting the pronto to the Netgear and it connects straight away so undoubtdly it's the "N" issue. I guess I'll use the netgear for the pronto only with WEP and leave the linksis set to N and WPA for the laptops. The G doesn't go far enough to be a massive security issue.
