I could not find a documented or obvious way either. There were very few things I regretted losing when upgrading from the older Pronto NGs etc to the 9200 but this was one of them.

In the end, a functioning remote is probably the most reliable way of storing the current configuration. Installers can go out of business or lose files. You could give clients CDs with the software on it, but they could lose those and any files on their system.

It would not shock me however to discover there was an undocumented way to upload the configuration (HW wise) but the current software (v 1.0) doesn't appear to have a way to handle it. Lets hope this is supported sometime in the future.

There is no way to do this. Files are compressed when put onto the remote. For example, images are downsized if needed before sending to the remote. So, therefore, the ONLY way to get the original is from a backup. Support for config upload will LIKELY NEVER be supported on current or future platforms.

I'm not going to lecture you are anyone else on data importance or integrity. If you own/manage an IT shop or provide software services (you develop configurations for clients), your data is a priceless asset. Protect it, back it up.

This has been discussed MANY times before in this forum and quite a few rants have gone on. Not wanting to incite another riot here, just state the reasoning as to why this is not possible. If you'd like to read more, search this forum for +upload for the last 4 years and read up!
