Maybe it's just me and my programming skills ( Yeah right! ) , but several customers i programmed tsu 9800 or 9600 remotes for, who have the remotes lock up!!

I have it about two times a week with my home remote ( tsu9800 ) , i send a command, like a button press, or activating a macro. The remote locks and you can't do anything. the 'send simbol' in the upper left corner freezes halfway. The button combo for reset, and diagnostic screen don't work. and there is a
BLUE SQUARE in the botom right corner of the screen.

The remotes, extenders, and routers ( Hawking 300, linksys WRT54GL )
have the latest firmware of course

Has anyone had this problem with their programmed remotes ( 9600/9800 )??

This problem has been reported to Philips, you can go back to firmware 5.0.6 and that should fix the problem for now. I sent stuff to Belgium about thre weeks ago to the Pronto team but have not heard anything back yet.

Reverting to 5.0.6 is not an option for the TSU9800 but is an option for the TSU9600.

So when you get this what do you do to get the remote to work again? Also where can I get the 5.0.6 firmware?

You need to to a hard reboot, you can use the switch on the bottom to turn the unit off and on

Firmware 5.0.6 [Link: mediafire.com]

Argh! Now I got the blue square - ones in a while - on my TSU9400 unit. It started then I turned on the WLAN.

In my case the blue square is loacted in bottom left side of the screen..

My unit runs on firmware 6.0.21.

For the 9400 and the 9600, you can back off to the 5.0.6 firmware and you should be OK. This firmware will still work with PEPv2.

Probably it is blind luck, but I haven't seen the blue square. Does anyone know what sets it off?

Leaving the remote docked and connected to the network for a few days without use is when I've seen it.
