Hi everybody!

I have one question.
I own an audio-matrix DATEQ MusicAll
It can be controlled via RS232.
There are 28 gradations of volume.
So this means that if one wants to make a louder sound, he must send a command like this:
80 01 02 09 01 01 84
more louder
80 01 02 09 02 02 84
more
80 01 02 09 03 03 84
...
the loudest
80 01 02 09 28 28 84
Every time two pair digits change.

Can such algorythm be realized in Pronto using some kind of Slider or one must make
28 buttons and send each single value of volume?

I appreciate any help)
Thanks in advance!!!

Sounds like what you want in the end is a visual graphic of the current volume level that changes as you change the volume. This is done easily enough with something like Crestron because there is 2-way comunication between the processor and touchpannel but as I understand from everything I've read about the 9600, the 2-way that is comming to the 9600 is only for music server type applications. I could be wrong, but since it won't even have flags or conditional logic, don't hold your breath.

Currently, it will require 28 buttons. Also, you will not be able to "drag" your finger across the screen to increase the level. You will need to press and release. I toyed with this idea on my 9600 with my Denon 5803. However, I shied away from it as I would not want to accidentally press the "10db" button when current volume level is -40db and blow out my speakers or my amp.

I do understand that pronto is one way serial. So i wondered if the interface had an opportunity to create sliders (like VT pro in Crestron has). Well this is a big minus of pronto not involving the 1-way rs 232.

You can use Up/Down to do Volume +/- but you will NOT get feedback on the screen. The only way to do what you originally requested is with 28 buttons as you first suspected.

Hopefully, when 2-way RS232 is available, we will get the ability to provide slider displays on the screen with custom graphics but we will have to wait and see.
