Hi! :-)

Sorry for not looking around here the last time. But 1st I don't receive E-Mails if new posts were made and 2nd I had a very time consuming project, not letting my head free for much other thinks.
Oh... and 3rd my son Julian was born on Nov 13.

So: what questions are left regarding the Pronto LiveTV script ?

Hi Wishmaster,

congratulation to your son.
Thank you also that you are back again in this thread.
Problem is:
Nobody is able to confirm, that your script is working for a long period. In my case the datas were transmitted for about 10 minutes, after this the processor power is going up and up until permanent 100%. The video is not transmitted anymore. You see only a picture but not a stream.

Hardware: Mini ITXboard with Pentium mobile 1.8Ghz
1GB RAM
Avionys Video server
Sat-Receiver as TV source
Active web cam
TSU9600

But also active webcam without the TSU9600 is stopping the stream.

Questions: Is this caused by the hardware of the PC?
Is this caused by wrong setup of Active webcam?
Is your Pronto TV working for hours troublefree?
Which video server are you using?
What is the hardware of your PC?
Any other idea, why the processor performance is going up from about
50% to permanent 100%?

Thank you in advance and happy new year

The Pronto script just retrieves the jpgs from the server, so if the server-PC CPU usage goes up, the reason is the used image/streaming server software.

My version of ActiveWebcam is running on an AMD Athlon X2 2300 BE @ 1.9GHz
CPU usage of ActiveWebcam is 1-2% in idle mode, and 2-5% when viewing with Pronto.

What I did and what you should check with YOUR configuration of ActiveWebcam:
(using an old Hauppauge WinTV USB for capturing)
1.) set preview framerate at only 1fps
2.) AW is hidden to the tray icon
3.) minimized the CAM view in AW to thumbnail size/list view
4.) disabled checking of the internet transfer in the GData Antivirus Software
(otherwise it would have to check every single jpg transfered to the Pronto)

Check these points and let me know if anything helped.
