Question: does the ProntoEdit Pro simulator (ctrl+M) support ProntoScript execution?

I'm debugging my config while waiting for my 9600 to arrive and can't get any of the scripts to do anything--not even out to the debug panel, so wonder if I have to download to get scripts to run. Sounds painful.

Yes, you do. Simulator does not run script.

Search for Barry Gordon's Pronto Debugging post about modifying your docking station to get System.print lines such that they print out to a PC.

Found that, downloaded the package and got as far as trying to run the debugger, which complains about an ocx dll not being registered. Also, could find no details of the special cable or docking station mod in the download, but sounds like a good idea. Also sounds like a good subject for an Eclipse plug-in (so much to do, so little etc...)

Yeah, I use Eclipse @ work as well. The problem here is COM Port access via Java/Eclpise. You will end up using a JNI library.

Barry should have documentation on his site for the mod. Email him for full download package if you are having problems. Also, ensure you run the install with Admin rights.
