| About Me: | Academic geek with two TSU9600s and an RFX9600 driving a house full of B&O kit (plasma, 9000, lights, and way too many speakers), a Foxtel IQ, a Netgear EVA8000, Panasonic DMR-BW500 blu-ray DVD recorder, and a Sony CX777ES via a IR controlled PHP app using a web browser for the on screen GUI. The browser (Firefox 2.x) runs under Linux (FC9) with LIRC to receive the IR codes that drive HTML controls via AccessKey codes. The Linux box also runs the Apache server that servs up the PHP pages. Control of the Sony done via a custom C app that uses a USB RS232 serial device (sorry, found this easier than using an RFX9600 extender due to the need to calculate checksums on sent code and wait for variable length response, some with checksums). The DVD info is created/Maintained using DVDProfiler. |
