I have a Universal Remote MX-850 with a 2nd RF base station that i would like to learn windows media center IR codes into, Has any one done this? Could this be as simple as sticking an emitter to the front of the IR/USB interface that comes with the Windows Media Remote control? Does anyone know if the IR codes are even of a suitable frequency range to learn into the MX-850? I would love to use my RF remote to control my PC from another room.


Any help would be appreciated Guys ( and girls)

I'm pretty sure the MX-850 can learn from most IR remotes. I have an MX-850 that works for my home theater consisting of about a dozen components, some of whose codes had to learnt.

You should be able to stick the base station's blaster in front of the IR receiver, or run a line to it for better control.
