I just can't seem to get this. I used the standalone editor for the longest time and the manual was very clear on the button presses to move/swap favorite channel logos between pages. Only it didn't seem to work 80 per cent of the time.

Now I am using CCP more often and... here we go again! It seems so straightforward - the alt key must be part of the process or you can't move across pages. So I drag a logo, it crosses to the next page, I release the left mouse button in the spot where I want it and.... bam, back to the original page - no move allowed.

Is it me or is this a bug??

Instead of asking me why my price is high ask the other guys why they are low.

It didn't paste the way I wanted it to but you get the idea below.

Good Luck

D. Edit Button Layouts using Page View and NEW Keyboard Shortcuts
Moving buttons requires care, because MX-980 artwork is always either Left facing, Right facing or Wide (linking
two buttons together). The best way to move buttons around is in Page View (selected from the View
Menu). Double click on each page you want to re-arrange, then drag the pages so that you can view all of
them. Now, utilize the keyboard shortcuts to re-arrange buttons by SWAPPING them:
1 Both buttons are on the same page and the same side. Simply drag either button to the position of
the other button. If they are on different pages but the same side, hold down the ALT key and drag
either button ot the position of the other button.
2 Both buttons are on the same page but on opposite sides. Hold down the SHIFT key and drag either
button to the position of the other button. If they are on different pages and on opposite sides, hold
down both the ALT and the SHIFT keys and drag either button to the position of the other button.

This is from the 980 CCP manual.

I believe it only swaps existing buttons. If you are trying to move it onto a blank page you may need to create some fake buttons and then delete them after

I have never been able to get favorites to move between pages in the CCP. I have no problem with normal buttons but moving favorites seems to be different.

Maybe that's what's confusing me. I'll try again today... faves vs. normal pages. I think it's a bug but can't figure why it's not been addressed.

It's official. Normal pages swap buttons, but faves... no love. What up URC?

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that the list of regular buttons is much more finite, making the "orientation automation" possible.

I finally gave up and started re-dragging my favorite logos from the image gallery (or importing the ones that are not found in the gallery.) Pain in the butt but took less time than waiting on hold, then waiting for tech support to collaborate and figure it out.

FWIW, ctl-alt will move favorites between pages, but they have to be facing the same way only. Shift-alt absolutely does not work.

Check out these (free) 980 favorite buttons by Guiwerx.
They are really nice and are not left or right oriented.
They also have a good looking pressed state.
I like them better than the CCP favorites, very clean, although a little small.
TV, Sirius, and XM are included, as well as some backgrounds.
They eliminate the problem of left or right orientation when swapping between pages.

Very nice - they do excellent work and are very generous!!

Unfortunately, I am on a Music Choice search, and they didn't include them.
