Here's the Deal:
I am using Vista 64bit HOme Premium. CCP works fine. The OS Acutally had the 64bit device manager already on it, so no problems there. Acutually I have expericcend no problems with Vista and CCP and MX300 editor.
I can run the MX900, Mx980, Kp,900, etc in 64bit Vista, but I cannot update. Not a big deal, because I have totaly switch to CCP for programming.
CCP, Sonos Desktop Software, iTunes, and other programs will NOT work on Vista Basic or Home Basic. The OS's are junk. They provide absolutly not support for Print Sharing, Files Sharing, etc. Vista Basic comes on most PC's and Laptops, and it just doesn't work right. MSFT even knows it's junk.
URC should know that their programs don't work on Vista Basic. Also, the person selling you your laptop should explain tha Vista Basic is for word processing and checking your email and surfing the net. Not for business, multimedia, sharing music, sharing printers, etc. I helped a guy in te URC Control room who has a Vista Basic Laptop, and it would connect to his URC remote.
Moral of the story don't buy vista basic or home basic. YOu pretty much can't do anything.
