They guys at the office run CCP on 64-bit Vista daily.

Having a driver error issue. I guess I will uninstall and re-install.

This is terrific news - I've been waiting a long time for this. Will go ahead and install right away.

Thanks

I am getting errors when I install CCP that Mobile Device Manager 6.1 is not suppored by my processor. Strange. It proceeds forward. I fire up CCP and connect an MX-900 and try to "Get from remote". Driver errors, Driver errors, etc.

This is with a brand new laptop. I proceed to uninstall and re-install. Same thing. Anyone have these issues?

I guess I was somewhat confused this morning when I was reading this thread on my small blackberry screen. I somehow thought it meant the MSC-400 with CCP could now work with Vista 64 bit.

Hopefully we will see this soon as CCP on my newer laptop is not that useful until this occurs.

vbova27 check out this thread. I got CCP to work on my laptop by installing the 64 bit version of Windows Device manager.

I have the same error message on a Vista 32 bit machine using the MX-900.

- Can not opened FIrmware File (click OK)

- Unable to find firmware file (PD-12) (click OK)

- Downloaded Error
Prepare ToDownload Fail

can upload from remote but cannot download.....

I also have a 64 bit machine that seems to work fine with the MX-900 and CCP. I have a MSC-400 and was told the MSC-400 won't work with 64 bit?? I havn't tried yet.

I am in the proccess of getting my house project in CCP and would at least like it to work with my 32bit Vista machine.
The tape holding my XP computer together won't last much longer.....

I tried loading drivers in but I must be doing something wrong....
Sometimes you just have to figure it out for yourself!

On this new 64-bit laptop URC's CCP is one of the first things I loaded on. It's going to be tough to diagnosis this with the process of elimination.

Here is the deal with CCP. I had to unintall/disable every aspect of bluetooth to get it to work on my Vista 32 bit desktop. As far as my 64-bit version on my laptop I havent figured out how to get it to work yet but I suspect it's the same type of thing.

URC should research this issue and post a technical paper about it. It has something to do with Bluetooth functions. I don't care what anyone says - this software does not play nice with Vista 64 bit. This is the second brand new computer I have tried it on and have been contacted by several people with similar issues, but surprisingly different error messages.

All I can say is, we've got people using Vista 64-bit with CCP every day, and they're not experiencing the issues you are.

That is NOT to say there's no problem, however. It just means that like all hard-to-diagnose problems, this one isn't universal. I do know that we've got people looking into this right now, as we speak.

Best regards,
Dale

Dale, any update, some of my installers are upgrading soon, I would like to find out if there are general issues, or isolated issues with CCP.

Thanks.

I have tried different laptops with 64 bit and have had problems I can't get around. I need bluetooth on my laptops. On my 32 bit vista PC desktop, I was able to get around the SC-1 issues by disabling every reference to bluetooth there is.

I have never encountered any issues with XP - bluetooth or no bluetooth.
