What is the fastest way to get a battery replacement on a MX-3000? It's the holiday and my remote will not take a charge.

Who/what is "dbl"? Do you mean DBL Distributing?

Thanks,
Don

The MX-3000 uses a unique battery that is not used in other devices. Because of this, the only place you can get one is from URC. I have heard that they are willing to send one out free after the first one fails.

The Fuji NP-60 is the battery in the MX-950. That one is widely available and can be purchased for a few bucks on eBay. It won't work in the MX-3000, though.

There's 2 different versions of the MX3000 battery. You would know based on the age (serial #), and the connector. URC released new pricing on these about 30 days back to their accounts. Have your distributor contact their local sales rep.

Sorry if I miss-lead you, It was late and I was thinking 950.

I don't do the 3000's very often.

I recently replaced my battery on my MX-3000 (the first version that was released). Wow, what a difference. It really rocks now. All the strange issues I've had in the past (having to sometimes "double touch" the screen to get it to work and other issues) are now gone. Works like NEW. SJ

Are there any dealers that carry the MX-3000 batteries? Seems kind of silly to have to go back to URC just to get replacements.

Especially when you can't get anyone at URC to reply to e-mails or return calls.

@ justplaindon

I just got this from URC

Lee

Since JustPlainDon has no e mail in his profile I can’t send him a message telling him to contact Jessica Engstrom at the URC warehouse on 1.800.901.0800 for help.

Or we could just let all these guys complain…

I hope that all is well,

I tried URC and was told that they would be happy to send a new battery for $45. I can't believe that this battery is made for this remote only. Their has to be another source for this. I wish to he!! someone had told me that I was buying something for $1,000 with a proprietary battery.
