Sorry to hear that you are going to be charged. Did they tell you why they were charging you for the battery? Were you out of warranty or was there another reason.

Just so you know, don't buy any Sony camcorders. They have speciality batteries that cost $99.99.

Try changing the battery on the NEVO SL. Where is the battery compartment on this thing? That right, it's in the same place the that the battery is on my iPod.
