In CCP, the properties window for the RS-232 ports (7-12) has a check box for enabling the port. Does anyone know if unchecking this turns off the RS-232 signal? This would seem to mean that it is a standard IR emitter when unchecked and therefore negates the need for the sleeved emitters.
