As for the signal quality, it's digital. It won't be affected. Just make sure your receiver's output resolution is set to "through" so it doesn't tinker w/ anything.

John, were you able to find out if the HDMI code was discrete or toggle. I can't find the discrete code for the AE3000 which will select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 or HDMI 3, I have only been able to find the toggle.

Any help would be appreciated.
