It's not necessarily that they gave you the wrong code. They just didn't give you all the information for the protocol. My guess is that even if you asked, they wouldn't understand.
My suggestion would be to contact
johnsfine. He wrote MakeHex and might be able to shed more light on the issue. Point him towards this thread and maybe he can spot a mistake I made.
Sorry, I missed this response of yours when posting a moment ago - did not wake up to it being on page 2.
But regardless of the forthcoming URC help I will contact John to see if he an shed any light on where things went haywire.
