I'm sure the problem with RF is getting the timing to be "exact" when going through multiple devices and conversions. If the timing is on the brink of being unusable before being converted to RF and back, I guess it's over the brink afterwards...
Honestly, you may be better off with ANY other PS3 adapter, as the rest all use standard Sony codes that every remote handles perfectly.
