If you do decide to combine, remember to do it with two antennas facing the EXACT SAME direction,
In the St. Catharines area, I see A LOT of houses with two CM4228HD's "stacked" with one facing Toronto--ususally the top and the bottom one facing Buffalo. In a few situations, this is the set up they're replacing their big driectional antenna and rotor for.
I took the reflector, or back BBQ grill-looking part off my 4228HD and get Buffalo, Toronto and Hamilton. CIII and CKXT were the weakest through by Bell HD receiver at 64% (anything below 58 usually doesn't come in) So I added a CATV drop amplifier and it bumped the signal stregnth up to 75%.
I did consider putting two antennas up, with the splitter etc, etc, but this was less work and half the cost. My parents have the same set up.
So far so good...
