Thanks, that's great info Lyndel.

Is it possible for me to view info from the Escient SE-D1 on my remote? The current song that is playing etc.

I'm 95% sure my programmer used the Wizz.it software.

My remote settings screen shows the following under "Version":
Type Number: RC9001 v1.0
Application: 2.0.11
IR Firmware: 2.1.25.1
Bootloader: 1.2.12

Is the "IR firmware" the same firmware you are saying needs to be 5.0.7? If not how to I see what firmware I currently am using?
