Barry, it is very true. I generated the 232 codes for Tom as they have a CRC as last byte that had to be calculated. Tom is using these 1-way to simply set the aspect ratio.
I, too, was surprised that there were no discrete IR codes for these but then again, the KDL 46" Sony TV I have does not have discrete IR codes for format.
