All of the 'authorized dealer' stuff notwithstanding, it's a GREAT remote, and is not difficult to program. I found the Editor software to be much easier to learn than I did with the Pronto software.
By the way, I bought mine at a VERY reasonable price (MUCH less than msrp) from an authorized dealer who regularly posts on this forum, so make some calls...
