I've been playing around with my remote this evening, and it does appear that having the backlight on solves the problem. I sure hope URC figures this one out in a hurry or it's going to cost me a fortune in batteries. :)

I'm almost positive my remote was working perfectly prior to July 25, so it must be related to the firmware upgrade that added Page +/- and Nav +/- capabilities. Since I have no use for those features at the moment, I wish there was a way to downgrade the firmware until a fix is found.
