As you have probably read in this post [Link: remotecentral.com] we have identified this to be a possible firmware problem. A temporary solution is to make sure the back light is turned on when you use the remote. My testing, so far, indicates that the button press problem goes away as long as the backlight is on.

Eric at URC has my file and has forwarded it to the engineers in Korea. They hope to have a permanent solution to the problem within the next month. It takes time for the engineers to first identify the problem and then come up with a solution to fix it.

Patience is a virtue in this case and I'm confident that URC will resolve the issue.
