Maybe you need the RFX-250 narrowband antenna. Your issue
sounds a bit different and more like RF interference.

I think that my symptoms are pretty much the same as posted above, wether or not they are caused by the same thing could be another story. Sadly I think my MX3000 is to old to be able to use the narrow band antenna. Do you have date information that I could confirm this with?
