Base unit wherever it will be easily accesible for troubleshooting in the cabinet or rack and cat5 to the ceiling (if an in ceiling speaker is going in), attic, or anywhere else to get the range and usability I desire w/o picking up interference for the rfx antenna. Essentially as high as possible for the rfx. I treat them like a wi-fi device....up high and in the origin if possible.
