I work with an installer who insists on installing the base units RIGHT on top of the eqiupment, usually inconfined quarters, In addition , the RFX-150 or 250 is placed routinely either behind a plasma and or right on top of the base unit and equipment. His customers complain that the remote has terrible reception and barely works to sometimes not at all.
The latest is an MX-950 with an MRF-300 and RFX-150. he has a huge Samsung Plasma, Sci Atlantic box with a base unit right in the same cabinet as all the other eqiupment. The RFX unit is in the same entertainment cabinet, about 2 feet from the other equipment and the base unit.
Where do you guys usually install your base units and antennea? How many feet away, and high and has your experience been okay? I would say the installer has problems about 3 out of 5 times.
Thanks
