Had the same problem when accessing channels it would repeat the number entered. Hot glued the flasher to the right of the IR pickup window and also put a thin strip of black electrical tape on the side of the flasher facing the IR pickup window. This toned down the IR output enough to stop the repeating of channel numbers entered on the numerical keypad.
