I have one MX3000 in a clients house that keeps locking
up. I did the update that waas supposed to fix this problem.
I have also changed out the MX3000 for a different MX3000
and it locked up again. Any ideas on what would be causing
this to lock up.
When the unit locks up it will freeze on a screen and
any of the buttons will not work. I then have to unplug
the battery to reset the remote. Then the remote will
work for about a week and do the same thing all over again.

Normal problem that was never fixed in the first place. One of the devices on the remote is causing the problem. I had the same problem with only one device but tried to use learned commands. Using commands learned on my MX-800 and then using drag and drop with the universal browser I dragged the commands over to the MX-3000 and never had anymore problems. It would seem there are several bugs in the MX-3000 yet. It doesn't like the database or learned commands.
