Yes we learned about the 6-8 second delay needed, while doing a job in Arizona, if you're performing a 'one-touch' macro, with everything off.
It seems like the 08 Denon's need to 'boot up' for that amount of time, before accepting another IR command. (the denon rep said that the new units are basically computers in a black box).
We've noticed this in the 1908's, 2308's, the 2808's and 3808's, so far.
