I have a Denon 3808CI and MX-950 (my MX-980 should be delivered today, yeah!!), but this is how I have my HD DVR 1 macro setup:
Turn on 3808CI,
Turn on Pana 50PZ700,
Select Denon HD-DVR 1 Input,
Press Pana Input button,
Press Pana 4 button (for HDMI 1 input)
Go to Page HD DVR 1
I've never had an issue with it and there are no delays built into the macro.
