Thanks everyone for all the tips. I did buy the Ultimate Guide and I'm slowly working on this one device at a time. So far I have the Home page and TV Power question working plus a TiVo setup I am happy with.

I had the old 1000 model years ago but it walked off when we were having our kitchen redone. Back then someone had recommended a rapid sequence of power off/on for the Toshiba. I think the idea was that if it was off I think it wouldn't react fast enough at some point and povided the individual on and off code. I didn't like the rapid on/off and took it out.

The guided "What do you want to do" system looks good.
