I have a Marantz 5000 that works on the 922 4DTV(although from a different remote and a model 920 instead of the model 922 I am trying to use now). Eitherthe 920 or 922 remote work on the current machine 922. The marantz RC5000 with the learned codes from the 920 still works on the 422. But trying to learn commands from either of the old remotes works on only 4 commands(6,7,8,ch-).
I cut and pasted the hex codes from the RC5000, which I imported from the ccf, into the prontoNG. All but about 5 worked(ch+,ch-,vol+,vol-,mute) the trouble is i really need the missing ones (ch+,ch-,vol+,vol-). I have successfully learned ch- from one of the remotes however the remote is still not complete.
The codes I learned from either remote and the codes that I imported from what I learned on the RC5000 are all different for the same command. I tried increasing the duration of the IR code to .2 but that didn't help.
I would like to get this fixed so I can learn for this device. BTW, I have learned successfully commands for about 8 other devices with no problem. I even downloaded Dana Rodakis's configuration file for the 4DTV that he had in the files section. It was for a tsu3000 but I tried the codes that he had in his IR section, but the few of his that I tested didn't work at all(they were different from everything else).
For you IR experts out there I will post the different IR Codes for all the different scenarios. This has been consuming my life for the last two weeks and I might not get them posted for a day or two.
I haven't had the software working for my RC5000 since I changed OS on my PC. I am going to try and load the new software and learn with the old Marantz to see if I get better success. But that will take a while, I don't even know if I can connect to my new PC with the old cord. I have forgotten what it plugs into and I don't know if I had the capability anymore. I tried it when I first got the new computer but the new PC wouldn't recognize the RC5200 remote at that time.
Help please.
