Johnsfine,
I reinstalled the firmware. It showed the same version, but it flashed anyway. I chose the option to load default pcf as well to make sure I started from scratch.
Same issue. Not sure what else to try. I had also decided to try the defaults and programmed the direction keys under the DVD setup to see if it was something in my PCF file I was using that might be corrupt. No luck. Still same issue.
Can't think of anything else to try. I have tried the following:
1) Programming from another remote (Sima SUR-25 touchscreen learning remote) that also works my HTPC
2) Programming from orriginal remote trying the tips from
[Link: remotecentral.com] 3) Tried another IR Receiver in my HTPC
4) Tried different factory remote. Have several TV Tuner cards each came with a remote
5) Learning direct from remote to remote bypassing ProntoEdit software.
6) Flashed firmware. Had version on web, but flashed anyway. Now TV volume goes up by 2 every push. Fixed with duration setting.
7) Using default pcf as well as custom.
8) Called Philips Tech support
9) Using the short HEX and the Long Hex I posted here.
10) Decreasing and increasing distances from my HTPC
11) Placing meterial over the remote to reduce IR. Maybe I was digging here, but I was desperate.
12) I know there was other things, but cannot remember them all.
Here is the remote I am using.

Thanks
