I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get my new Philips pronto SBC RU 960 working with my Musical Fidelity A 5 system. I'm about to nuts. I don't understand wy i't won't work.
The problem as I see it is, that my original remote sends out different IR codes every time I press it. I think it has about 5-10 different signals for every action. Somehow that works fine with the original remote but my pronto will only learn one of them and that's a problem. I got to a point where I could switch between CD & HT direct and also between CD & Phono, but NOT between Phono & HT Direct.
I have the same sort of problem with the functions of the CD player. The fast forward function is the only fully functional button. The skip track button will only allow me to switch from track 1 to track 2 and then i't won't skip more tracks.
I'm hoping that some kind Musical fidelity owner ( Or maybe sim audio owner as I think they use some of the same codes) will be so kind as to help me with this problem.
