This sounds like a problem I finally fixed yesterday. After I ran the new firmware loader, I was unable to access my bitmaps within NeoEdit 1.3. I reloaded several times, only to be told by the install program that it couldn't find tsu500.dat or the gallery.dat files. I then looked on my other computer with a functional NeoEdit and found that these files are registered in the ODBC manager. Looking back on my XP computer, I found all of my ODBC drivers had disapeared. Calling Philips was indeed a waste since they gave me the "salute" and told me to go here for software support. I finally concluded from talking to HP support and reading Microsoft Technet articles that I needed to reload the operating system. I did this and reinstalled NeoEdit and the firmware uploader. Everything works now. The two files now show up as ODBC databases in the ODBC manager. I recommend to anyone experiencing this problem that you backup your files and reload your operating system.
