I have a MX-1000 I'm going to be selling. I think the Buttons are nicer, but the Neo can do so much more. I think it really depends on what your setup is and what you plan on doing. I really hated to give up using the MX, yet the macros I needed just didn't work well with the MX..of course wanting 200 plus macros for the DVD changer didn't help :)
