I've had my RC3200 get stuck in calibration a few times. What worked for me was to (a) use an object with a smaller point than my finger, such as a PDA stylus; and (b) to select points a bit closer in toward the center and not right on the calibration mark. Sure, after that, the buttons don't line up exactly with where you're pushing, but at least you can use the remote.
