I spent a good deal of time, last summer, looking for a dedicated XML editor. I found many, but they were harder to figure out than just doing it in Notepad.

This may be because XML is not really a subset of HTML, it is a different kind of "generic" coding language, if you will. With HTML coders, all the standard "words" are available to you, and shown in colours even. But XML "words" are pretty much made up by the person who is doing the coding.... so it's virtually impossible to come up with a standard language. XML describes the "contgent", not the layout". This is a hard concept to grasp.

On the other hand, when using the XML wizards at the Harmnoy website, it's pretty easy to see what you would do or change to customize your Devices and commands. And, you can copy the files to your PC and edit them, then paste them back in again up on the Web. EasyZapper has also made provisions for backing up your customized code, in most cases. ... Mike
