Rolf, I usually trigger the screen from the Faroudja processor in a system equipped as you describe. Most screens can be ordered with a 12v trigger. Electric shades can be ordered with a variety of triggers as well. Usually they are 12v, IR or contact closure. The Faroudja has a second 12v trigger output. With a RC5000, 12v on the screen and 12v or IR on the shades would keep it simple and add to the reliability of the system operating correctly.
