I cannot think of any reason why someone would want to send the “same” command RF and IR, this feature is so that you can send one command RF and a separate command IR.

For instance, you are running the main theater RF and you want to control the lighting in the theater, but you can’t get any wire to the lighting controller, you would just force the command for the lighting controller to output via IR.
