we have programed and sold many 500t and 700t for some time now. the software has gone thru some updates from time to time.Keep in mind that the programming community that supported those products was and is quite small. The software designers have been very receptive to field input. Daniel is right about the need for page jumps within a device as in the other remotes the screens were large and the new remote is divided up for space and economy reasons. The RS232 is nothing more that a mono pin connection on the output ports of the rf modual followed by a rs232 connection on the other end.
