Right now I use an RCA Directv receiver with 5.1 output and a Phillips TiVo. I can record all sat and local cable stations. I have the sat receiver analog going to TiVo and the digital toslink going to my Sony STR-DB930 5.1 receiver. That way if I want to watch one of the few 5.1 programs on satellite in DD, I can. I highly recommend TiVo to everyone. I will be getting the 30 hour Sony TiVo for the theater, and moving the 14 hour Phillips to the bedroom.
