I've never had a problem with large files on my Marantz 9200 and I'm using about 65% of available memory. I know Peter is correct about this problem being seen on a 6000, but didn't think it was widespread. Two possible suggestions:

1) You might try Tonto, at least for downloading to the remote and possibly for programming. Tonto's communications are better than PE. It might or might not help. It's available here: [Link: giantlaser.com].

2) Assuming I'm correct and the "large file" problem only affects some of the 6000's (I don't know for sure) you might get it exchanged under warrantee or replaced from the vendor. Maybe Peter knows more about whether this problem affects ALL 6000's.
