Yeah, it doesn't seem to happen at night at all. And during the day I don't have to unplug it to reset it, just covering up the sensor is fine. Why would it try to do IR at all when I use the buttons on the unit itself? The room is curtained, but it is still very bright. I'd like to be able to keep the unit out so that I have access to the controls on top.
