I just installed 3 switchlincs and 1 leviton 6291(on-off no dimming) in a four gang box in my kitchen.I went to program the switchlincs with the IR543 and had no luck. I was able to program them with my palm pad(from the firecracker kit) with no problem. I have 4 other leviton x-10 pieces elsewhere in the house. With the pronto and IR543 I can control all of the leviton pieces, but none of the switchlincs. Help!! One side note ,one of the switchlincs is controlling a ceiling fan, and I get the humming sound. Can I use the soon to be released switchlinc flourescent as an on-off, and use the pull chain on the fan for speed control. The remote on-off function is more important to me as I use the fan in the high position most of the time. There are the few times that I need to slow the fan down, so I don't mind using the pull chain if that scenario works.
