You only need one IR543 for each location you
want to use an IR remote in. If a module in another
room won't respond, you need either a filter on
a noise-producing appliance or a coupler/repeater
to strengthen the signal's reach.
Tryn swapping modules just to eliminate a defective
one as the problem.
