Jason, you are in the right price point (approx. $1000) for Sean's post, but the Denon and Yami are not in the same league. I'm sure that your receiver is a fine choice, but given Sean's collective posts about being willing to spend $1000 on a DVD and $1000 + or - $200 I came up with $2200 to spend on Receiver and DVD. A Denon 5700 can be had for an on-line purchase of $1900 and a "great" DVD can be had for about $300, yeilding $2200.
Result, a "World-class" receiver that is state of the art that will serve for decades, and a throw away DVD palyer which will need to be replaced (due to changing DVD standars) much sooner. Besides, DVD is just like CD - even audiophiles (videophiles in the case of DVD) can NOT tell the difference between players with orders of magnitude difference in price (in a REAL blind test.) - My $.02
