Thanks Gregorius, I did give the Def Techs a listen. They were bipolar and I didn't care for the vague sound on music. I guess also, Yamaha doesn't recommend bipolars . It works against thier sound field processing. Is 100 WPC enough to drive the NHTs? I know they're pretty inefficient. The place I listened to them ran them on a 80WPC Sony ES and I had to have the voulmn at at least 50% to get them going. I'm guessing my amp has a little more current than the Sony
