If your theater will be a multi-use room like most of us, I too would recommend staying with neutral tones. As a professional painter I have applied many Kelly-Moore colors in various "environmental shades/earth tones" that are nice for home theater and also very attractive when the lights are on. A few I have seen and would recommend: Cascade Beige, Wood Moss, Fig Cookie (all darker toned); Malibu Beige & Snip of Tannin (as lighter muted tone alternatives). All these and many others look great with a contrasting (lighter) trim from a similar color palette or a muted white/off white. Go with their Premium Interior Flat for the walls and a "low sheen/egg shell" for the trim work. Avoid multiple colors and minimize trim work on the walls immediately surrounding the screen.
