It sounds like your receiver only has 2 digital inputs, one being optical and two being optical or coaxial. On the receiver what are they labeled? I am assuming one is labeled DVD, but am unclear as to what the other is.
You should be able to pump in a DD/DTS digital signal on any of the digital inputs and it should be understood as DD/DTS. I tried Pioneer's website, but it is very uninformative, and doesn't even give you a back panel picture....Tony
